MORLOK ROBOT LAB

DESIGN RECONCILIATION · 4 OCTOBER 2026

One current design.
Keep the history clear.

A stationary robot with the preserved R2 shell, PC1 camera and audio modules, and the PF1 printed frame. The current design is a candidate awaiting physical qualification.

37

Body pieces

24 R2 shell pieces + 13 PC1 front-component pieces. BC1 is the organized body package, not another 37 pieces to add.

19

Frame pieces

Four base quarters, four seam splices, two crossmembers, one tray, four risers and four feet.

56

Main candidate pieces

The body and frame together. Test specimens, optional bare-Pi parts and future mobility mounts are outside this count.

New: illustrated assembly manual AM1

17 CAD-illustrated cold-fit steps with parts, tools, fastener stacks and inspection gates. Camera nut insertion and the four long speaker grille bolts remain on hold.

The 20 original Creator 5 Pro layouts describe a complete candidate build from scratch: 2 test layouts, 5 frame layouts and 13 body layouts. They are geometry-only, not sliced machine jobs, and are not a remaining-job count. The private print register determines which specimens already exist and which copies can be credited.

Part IDs and job or plate IDs are different namespaces. PF1 part F01 is a base quarter, not permission to send a plate called F01. Always use the complete filename and exact revision.

Which version is which?

Version / branchRole nowWhat to use
Six-panel 4WD conceptSuperseded conceptHistorical shapes and planning only. Its 5–6 plate estimate, chassis assumptions and heat-set plan do not govern this build.
R1 / R2 enclosurePreserved source geometryR2 shell pieces remain the body foundation. Older module carriers and metal-deck instructions are historical alternatives.
TF1 fit-test setTest/reference onlyCoupons, corner sections and simplified device tokens. These are not installed quantities, complete holders or structural qualification.
PC1 front componentsCurrent module candidatesCamera Standard carrier, manual shutter, speaker cassette/grille and removable Lite bridge. Its frozen metal-deck reference is superseded by PF1.
BC1 body packageCurrent body inventoryPackages the unchanged 24 R2 + 13 PC1 pieces together. Does not add another shell or invent a new source revision.
PF1 printed frameCurrent stationary frame candidate19 printed frame pieces, measured joints first. No metal structural deck and no released motors, battery restraint or drive mounts.
MP3 / later mobility referencesFuture gated branchPreserved purchasing, safety and architecture research. Reassess compatibility with PF1 before selecting any mobile build.

What stays selected

Candidate fastening has 50 M3, 13 M2 and 24 M4 positions. The M3 replacement bolts are already counted. Positions are not pack quantities or released screw lengths; check real stacks, nut/head dimensions, washers, access and available stock.

Still unresolved before a main build

  1. Measure the actual CanaKit enclosure with cables connected. The 180 × 140 mm PF1 tray is a chosen envelope, not verified kit retention.
  2. Resolve the Lite board revision: its nominal wiki outline and official v1.1 STEP disagree. Measure the received board, asymmetric holes, microphone side and USB plug space before the bridge.
  3. Check all shell-to-frame axes, screw stacks, joints, cable pass-throughs, edge protection and strain relief. A digital alignment image is not a proven interface.
  4. Qualify the intended material and profile for flatness, fit, strength, creep and heat. Keep stationary testing separate from future mobility.
  5. Verify shutter opacity and field of view, speaker/microphone acoustics, cooling, service access and privacy behavior with actual hardware.

Software has its own release

The preserved R2 voice prototype is a starting point. Its old PowerConf device selection and 24 kHz output are not a verified Lite configuration; camera control and a runnable stationary release still need implementation and real tests.

Current stationary software and test path. No app installation, hardware acceptance result or motion release is implied by this design reconciliation.

Preserved history and source packages

Original STL, STEP, Blender and ZIP source packages remain unchanged. Their dated HOLD labels and embedded metal-deck references are kept as provenance; use this guide and the later PF1 record to interpret them.
